Summarising their main burdens of disease, and contextualising the role of General Practice in supporting young people in their health care. It includes some skills in building consulting skills for GP's, such as how to engage young people with confidentiality statements, consent issues, self-harm and management of depression.
Dr Rob Trigger is a GP in Byron Bay and has lots of young people as patients. He works part time as a medical educator for the local regional training provider (North Coast GP training). He has been involved in research, teaching and advocacy of young people's health for many years.
