Treating eating disorders in Italy. Family, individual and group therapies. Systemic, psychodynamic, cognitive and medical approaches

Dr Rodolfo de Bernart

Eating Disorders (ED) are the most numerous reasons for coming in Family Therapy in the Istituto di terapia Familiare di Firenze (ITFF). Our approach is complex and includes working with family, individual and group, using Systemic, Psychoanalitical and Cognitive approaches and including a medical approach with the help of the family Practicioner and of a Dietologist or of a Endocrinologist. The Authors (a Family Therapist, a Jungian Psychoanalist, a Cognitve Therapist and a a M.D.Dietologist) try to show this model of treating ED toghether , using short videos of our clinical work which include also the use of images like Sculptures and Collages or Conjoint Family Drawings.
