Developing ethical practice in case study.

Robyn Bett

This presentation provides an overview of the development of a case study research programme within the Master of Counselling at Murdoch University and addresses the following issues:
- Developing a research methodology that is congruent with the reflective practice, and reflective writing that is a feature of students' training
- Obtaining ongoing Ethics Committee approval for case study research processes
- Including writing skills workshops, and small group writing review processes, addressing process issues such as sharing thinking, seeking and using feedback, perfectionism and procrastination
- Information about the ethical challenges faced in case study research, and the ways in which some of these challenges have been addressed, and some remain active ethical dilemmas.
