Conversion study update and implications for therapy

Dr Kasia Kozlowska

An update of the data from the CHW study with children and adolescents with conversion disorder will be provided. Implications for multimodal treatment of this patient group will be discussed. A case of a 14 year old boy with non-epileptic seizures who was not able to utilize a talking therapy is presented.

Dr Kasia Kozlowska

Dr. Kasia Kozlowska is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at the Department of Psychological Medicine, Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She is also a Clinical Associate Professor at Sydney University and is engaged in collaborative research at the Brain Dynamics Centre, Westmead Hospital. Her special interests are children presenting with medically unexplained symptoms, the Dynamic Maturational Model of Attachment and complex trauma.
