In this lecture Dr Janine Stevenson explores the Borderline Personality Disorder as a trauma related condition with dissociated forms of consciousness. She looks at effect of dissociation on the sense of self and on the perpetuation of symptoms.  Her talk is enriched by her owns extensive experience working with and researching the Borderline Personality Disorder and on the writings of Hughlings Jackson, Pierre Janet and of more contemporary writers like Russell Meares.
