Can you augment supported employment programs with web-based Cognitive Remediation Therapy in the Australian context? The CogRem study.

Anthony Harris

Cognitive deficits are a significant barrier to people with schizophrenia maximising their community functioning and/or returning to work. These deficits are well described and have been successfully treated using a range of cognitive remediation therapy (CRT) techniques. Recent meta-analyses have identified that providing CRT with another psychosocial intervention increases the effectiveness of the combined treatments on functional outcome. However these interventions have not used web-based CRT or community based staff and settings.
