Sarah Gibson

 


Sarah Gibson has been writing, producing and directing documentaries on contemporary social issues for over 25 years. Her documentaries, Size 10, Behind Closed Doors, Landslides, In The Beginning There Was Shopping and Born To Shop , have been extremely well received by audiences in Australia and world wide television markets. 
 
Her critically acclaimed three part documentary series Myths of Childhood, written and directed as part of the Film Australia National Interest Program was screened on ABCTV in August 1998 and repeated in 1999. 
 
The Hundredth Room is a personal essay documentary, developed with the assistance of a NSW FTO Documentary Fellowship and was funded by The Australian Film Commission. It continues Sarah’s experimentation with documentary form and her filmic exploration of the relevance of psychological insights for contemporary culture. 
 
Sarah is currently working on an interactive online documentary Re-echantment.
