Implementing a whole school approach to supporting students of refugee background.

Samantha McGuffie

Schools are in an excellent position to support children, young people and families of refugee background in their resettlement and recovery from trauma.VFST prioritises supporting schools through the development of regional networks. Refugee Action Networks (RANs) aim to support each school in the network as they develop and implement a whole school approach to supporting students of refugee background. This presentation will outline the VFST RAN strategy and promote the benefits of working in partnership with schools in a way that enhances systemic change.

Recorded at the NSW Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors (STARTTS)
