Traumatic Brain injury can manifest clinically in a wide variety of physical and mental presentations. The neuropathology and neuroanatomy underlying a number of these clinical manifestations are presented and discussed with specific references to treatment approaches.

A/Prof. Randy Beck

Dr Randy Beck is a senior lecturer in Clinical Neurology, Clinical Diagnosis and Anatomy at Murdoch University in Perth. He also holds a concurrent position of Associate Professor in Clinical Neurology at the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies in Florida, USA.
Dr Beck graduated from The University of Western Ontario, London and Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Toronto, Canada. He has subsequently completed a PhD focusing on Psychoneuroimmunology and is currently a candidate for his clinical PhD in Functional Neurology at Murdoch University. Dr Beck is a diplomat of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board and Fellow and the current president of the Australasian Academy of Functional Neurology. He has been involved with post-graduate and undergraduate education of chiropractors and medical students for over 15 years.
Dr Beck has authored a textbook, published by Elsevier, entitled Functional Neurology for Practitioners of Manual Therapy. He has also authored numerous textbook chapters, journal articles and reviews in peer-reviewed journals.
He is currently working on international collaborative projects involving:
1. Clinical education in healthcare
2. The effects of movement on brain function
Dr Beck is a frequent speaker at both international and national conferences, seminars and workshops.
