Violence and health - learning from the WHO framework

Prof. John Macdonald

Violence is now recognised as a public health issue by the World Health Organization. This “ecological” framework is consistent with the emerging science on the social determinants of health and helps us understand and address violence of all kinds in more comprehensive ways. The presentation will include examples from Palestine where Professor Macdonald is a Visiting Professor.
