Brain profiling in clinical and forensic practice

Dr Donald Rowe

Dr Rowe’s presentation discusses the use of scientific theory in driving clinical assessment and treatment through the use of individual patient neurophysiological, neuropsychological and psychological data. Case examples and endophenotypes will be discussed to illustrate the approach of using personal data and theory to drive a personalized approach to medicine and treatment. Case studies will include PTSD, brain injury and alcohol induced Insomnia.

Dr Donald Rowe

Dr Donald Rowe is a consultant neuropsychologist, neurophysiologist and clinical psychologist. He has over 8 years experience working in the area of clinical neurophysiology and neuropsychology, and over 10 years experience working in the area of psychology and medicine including both practicing and lecturing in these areas.  In his private practice he works as a clinical neurophysiologist, neuropsychologist and psychologist conducting diagnostic assessments, producing personalized, medicolegal and forensic reports and formulating treatment plans for neurological and psychiatric problems. Dr Rowe holds honorary associate positions with the Westmead Millennium Institute for Medical Research Westmead Hospital, the Brain Dynamics Centre Westmead Hospital, and the Department of Psychological Medicine Westmead Hospital and University of Sydney.
