Integrating Trauma.

Dr. Anna Hueneke

Dr Anna Hueneke will speak from her doctorate (awarded from UWS in 2009) about her experience of the process of integrating trauma during training as a psychotherapist. She will draw on the work of Meares and others to speak about the importance of visualisation in this process. Dr Hueneke will then present a selection of her work as a visual artist and link this to an experience of the body, its personal and cultural traumatic memory systems and to self. She will then describe the natural development from the body and its imagery to the integration of trauma in poetic language.
